Here are a few pics of a 1956 Plymouth. I bought one in 1966 for $50. The 56 Plymouth was one of the first of the "finned" cars that Mopar went just about nuts with through 1961 or so. Below is the fin from the ass end of a 56 Plymouth. I have read that the car manufacturers were going for a P-38 WWII fighter plane look. Later on the cars took on a space ship look as the tail lights on a 59 Desoto.
